A native of the Washington DC area, Aaron Broadus is a rising talent in the music industry. Rarely, these days, do you see an artist like Aaron who writes, performs, arranges and produces all his own music. Broadus, a skilled lead and solo trumpeter and vocalist, holds a B.A. in Music from George Mason University and a M.A in Music from Howard University. As an awesome performer and educator, Aaron is comfortable in the classical, jazz, Hip-Hop, and R&B arenas. He is also an accomplished composer and arranger who has recorded with, and written for the Howard University Jazz Ensemble's 2003 CD dedicated to the victims of September 11, 2001.

Aaron is a Professor of music and band Director at Georgetown University and a Partner and Director in the non-profit organization, Virginia Music Adventures. When he's not in the recording studio, or classroom you may find him directing the Georgetown Jazz Band around town, or the Georgetown Pep Band at local games and while touring during the NCAA tournaments. Also, look for Aaron hanging out with the Virginia Music Adventures (VMAs) directing and performing locally, or globe trotting around the world.

Aaron showcases his talents as a performer with local bands and his very own, The Aaron Broadus Group at hot spots, or at popular events such as the Congressional Black Caucus, Blues Alley, or Tacoma Station. Catch Aaron performing live on stage at prominent venues such as Constitution Hall, The Warner Theatre, Wolf Trap Farm Park, the Carter Barron Amphitheatre, or touring the East coast with the following famous and legendary acts:
